KINGSTON, Jamaica – After being backed heavily in his many outings of late, Painthistownred finally delivered for his connections when the six-year-old gelding won the third offering as the 11-race programme continues to progress at Caymanas Park.

Racing in a claiming event ($250,000 - $200,000) for three-year-olds and upwards, run over 5 ½ furlongs, Paintthistownred powered by early leader Indi Arazi while navigating the half-mile turn coming into the lane in front but under pressure.

Apprentice Raddesh Roman aboard Paintthistownred for trainer Lincoln Lungs found extra in the final furlong burst to win by 1 ¾ lengths.

Second went to Union Four (Kerry-Gayl Robinson), with Indy Arazi (Roger Hewitt) occupying the third slot.

Paintthistownred won at odds of 6-1.

This was the first winner in 2020 for trainer Lungs from nine starts while Roman was bringing home his 12th for the season.
