KINGSTON, Jamaica – Now racing among claimers, Dontae going down on his previous claiming price did enough to provide his jockey Dick Cardenas and his trainer Anthony Nunes with their second winner from five races on the Caymanas Park card a short while ago.

The win by Dontae came in the fifth race which was a $550,000 - $500,000 claimer travelling seven furlongs.

It was the grey Kingswood (Anthony Thomas) who set the pace, which was held down the backstretch, around the turn and coming in the lane for the final two furlongs.

During this time, Cardenas gradually moved Dontae into a striking position with the final charge coming with 1 ½ furlongs remaining in the contest.

Thereafter after Donate was able to get home by half-a-length.

Second was Kingswood with Eddie’s Princess (Tevin Foster) third.
