KINGSTON, Jamaica – In a driving finish, San Siro was able to temper the late surge of Inspired Miracle to claim victory in the Caymanas Monday second at starting odds of 5-1.

San Siro, a five-year-old roan gelding was winning for the fourth time from 23 starts, on this occasion in a five-year-old and upwards – non-winners of four – call travelling 6 ½ furlongs.

San Siro racing with Reyan Lewis aboard for trainer Lawrence Freemantle could not go with the front runners as the leader changed several times before Inspired Miracle (Robert Halledeen) took over leaving the half-mile marker.

Inspired Miracle took San Siro then on a move wide entering the straight but that tactic did not hamper the eventual winner who held the advantage a furlong and a half out but Inspired Miracle found extra to mount another effort close home.

In the scramble for the line, San Siro got there by a nose ahead of Inspired Miracle with Milkman (Tevin Foster) third.
