Redford on stage in maiden win for trainer Wayne Parchment, jockey Tevin Foster in Caymanas sixth

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The good form of the combination of trainer Wayne Parchment and jockey Tevin Foster emerged once again when Redford won the sixth race at Caymanas Park.

It was a win which brought out the best in Foster as he continues to show good form after having to deal with an injury for 10 months.

Foster had Redford among the leaders when the starter pushed the button in the maiden condition event for three-year-olds run over 7 ½ furlongs.

Redford was challenged by Sweet Toppins (Anthony Thomas), the 2-5 favourite around the home bend but was still able to enter the straight with the lead.

In the straight, galloped resolutely and despite a late burst by Sweet Toppins gained his maiden victory by a neck.

Third went to Cold Pursuit (Phillip Parchment).

The winning time was 1:33.3.
