Musketoon fires in at 22-1 in Caymanas Saturday fourth

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Musketoon shattered most of the early exotic bets after winning the Caymans Saturday fourth at long off 22-1. This was after the race day started with Congrats Suckie obliging at 25-1. After the win by Musketoon there were 12 tickets left in the Reggae-6 wager.

Musketoon won for the 11th time from 64 career starts in a three-year-old and upwards Optional Claiming ($350,000 - $300,000) event travelling 6 ½ furlongs. Musketoon is trained by Fernando Geddes and was ridden by Daniel Satchell.

Pakman (Romario Spencer) led the way at the off with Musketoon racing way behind the front pack.

Turning for home, it was still Pakman with Musketoon on the wide outside. Satchell got his mount in top tear with a furlong left in the contest and Musketoon responded, going by all to win by 1 1 ¾ lengths.

Band of Gold (Phillip Parchment) was second and Stallwalking’girl (Anthony Thomas) third.
