KINGSTON, Jamaica – It was the young apprentice Oshane Nugent at his best as he rode a well-judged race on Hard Working Man to win the second of 10 races on today’s (September 6) programme currently in progress at Caymanas Park.

The maiden special weight contest for four-year-olds and upwards run over a mile turned out to be a match race between Hard Working Man (1-2) and Thunderstrike (Andre Martin).

It was the latter who set off in front from the off with Hard Working Man keeping alongside for most of the way.

Martin on Thunderstrike entered the final two furlongs still in front.

Nugent kept pushing on Hard Working Man who took a while to fully respond and was just able to win by a length.

Third more than 12 lengths behind was Black Royalty.

Hard Working Man is trained by Randolph Scott who was recording his third winner for 2020.
