KINGSTON, Jamaica - The third race on Saturday, December 2, 2023, features a 5 ½ furlong sprint for two-year-olds with seven horses declared to run.

Among these competitors, four are foreign-bred and three are locally bred, setting the stage for an exciting contest.

Here's The Quick Galloper's analysis of the race:

1 - TRAIN OF THOUGHT is a dark bay filly (USA May 4) by Mor Spirit out of Equitable. Trained by Anthony Nunes and ridden by Julien Leparoux, this horse has caught the eyes of morning watchers with her steady progress during exercises. She's expected to play a significant role in this race's outcome.

2 - DON’T TELL LOU LOU is a bay filly (May 8) from Savoy Stomp out of Lastochka. Trained by Byron Davis with Omar Walker aboard, she was slated to debut on October 15 but became a late non-starter due to lameness. This race will provide valuable experience for Don’t Tell Lou Lou.

3 - INTERESTNTIMEAHEAD is a bay colt (February 8) by Bold Conquest out of My Friend Lucy. Trained by Jason DaCosta with Phillip Parchment holding the reins, this colt comes from a productive dam that has also produced Ricky Ricardo, Loose Ball, Do Your Job, and She’s My Friend. Reports indicate he's been progressing well in training and is expected to be involved in the decision-making process on race day.

4 - HILLY’S DREAM is a chestnut filly (USA April 12) by Jess’s Dream out of Run The World. Trained by Gary Subratie with Raddesh Roman in the saddle, she has demonstrated potential during morning workouts. This race should serve as a valuable learning experience for Hilly’s Dream.

5 - NORDIK is a chestnut colt (April 11) by Hedge Fund out of My Elle Belle. Trained by Richard Azan with Daisuke Fukumoto aboard, he's been finding his stride during training sessions. Expectations are high for a good performance from Nordik in his first competitive event.

6 - GRECIAN LIGHT is a bay filly (USA April 4) by Girvin out of Mo Zin, trained by Paul Swaby with Tevin Foster holding the reins. As the only starter with previous racing experience, Grecian Light finished third behind Digital One and Banadura on October 7. This prior run suggests she deserves respect and has the potential for a winning effort.

7 - PRINCESS AMAHLE is a bay filly (USA January 28) by Klimt out of Nuestra Union with Dane Dawkins in the saddle. The presence of champion jockey Dane Dawkins indicates Princess Amahle is one to watch closely during the race.
