Disciplinary Decisions Taken By JRC Stewards

The Stewards announce the following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries held at the offices of the Jamaica Racing Commission, Units 15-17 Big Buy Plaza, Portmore, St. Catherine, on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

Jockey CALVIN BAILEY;

• who rode FIDELITY in the tenth (10^th) race on Saturday, April 11, 2026, was fined Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for excessive use of the whip during the running of the race.

• who rode I AM FRED in the eight (8^th) race on Saturday, April 11, 2026, was fined Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for excessive use of the whip during the running of the race.

Jockey CLIVE LYNCH who rode STARDOM in the tenth (10^th) race on Saturday, April 11, 2026, was suspended for two (2) race days and fined Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for excessive use of the whip during the running of the race. The suspension will take effect on Saturday,  May 2, 2026.

Jockey CHALRICK BUDHAI who rode HAVAJOY in the second (2^nd) race on Saturday, April 4, 2026, had his explanation accepted for excessive use of the whip during the running of the race.

Jockey DEMAR WILLIAMS who rode OH MY GOSH in the second (2^nd) race on Saturday, April 4, 2026, was fined Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) for excessive use of the whip during the running of the race.

Trainer FITZNAHUM WILLIAMS was fined Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for the late arrival of the horse LAGERTHA to the paddock on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

Groom MARK WALFORD who was summoned for the late arrival of the horse LAGERTHA to the paddock on Saturday, April 4, 2026, had his explanation accepted.

Groom ARTHUR SPENCER who was summoned for the late arrival of the horse LAGERTHA to the paddock on Saturday, April 4, 2026, had his explanation accepted.

Trainer ALFRED DAVIDSON who was summoned for failure to present the horse WARRIORSTOMP for Lasix Administration on Sunday, April 19, 2026 was fined Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00).

Groom DERRON LONGMORE who was summoned for failure to present the horse WARRIORSTOMP for Lasix Administration on Sunday, April 19, 2026 was exonerated.
