KINGSTON, Jamaica – Daddy Jones with probably his best run from 11 career starts demolished rivals in the Caymanas Wednesday seventh.

The Caymanas Wednesday seventh was for three-year-old and upwards (non-winners of four) going a mile.

Three Times Lucky (Jerome Innis) was the first to show with Labycka (Dick Cardenas) and True Al Sky (Tevin Foster closely following. At this stage Oshane Nugent on the Richard Azan trained Daddy Jones occupied the fourth slot.

After three furlongs were completed Daddy Jones racing with the blinkers on decided enough was enough and uncharacteristically was pushed along the rails to assume the lead. From then it was obvious that Daddy Jones was above the rest.

In the last two furlongs, Daddy Jones kept on going away from rivals to win by almost seven lengths. The winning time was a noticeable 1:38.3.

It’s A Boy (Jordan Barrett) came from nowhere to earn second with I Am Fred (Phillip Parchment) third.

This was the second winner on the day for Nugent.
