Eight starters, including five first-timers, will face the starter in the fourth of nine races on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

The event is for three-year-old maidens going 5 ½ furlongs.

The Quick Galloper’s take on the possible outcome is presented in post-position order.

1 - DARK AUTHORITY

Dark Authority is a bay colt (April 16) by Conquest Cherimash out of Rough Love, trained by Anthony Nunes, with Raddesh Roman riding. This newcomer has caught the eyes of morning watchers, displaying speed in his workouts. Dark Authority is expected to play a prominent role first time out.

2 - VICTORIOUS LINKS

Victorious Links is a bay filly (May 8) by Western Warrior out of Victory Turn, trained by Lawrence Freemantle with Dane Dawkins at the reins. Note that Victorious Links was nominated to race on October 19, 2025, but was declared a late non-starter. Another who has shown speed in the mornings, suggesting that she will be on the front end.

3 – MO PAI

Mo Pai is a bay colt (April 25) by Savoy Stomp out of Money Magnet, trained by Richard Azan with Tajay Suckoo riding. Note that Mo Pai races with first-time Lasix. He has the experience of two runs under his belt. Mo Pai was pipped on debut at 5 ½ furlongs by Darwin, fading in the final furlong. Now with experience gained, Mo Pai is a serious contender.

4 - CODE RED

Code Red is a chestnut colt (May 4) by Aveenu Malcainu out of Eighteen Karat, trained by Anthony Nunes with Tyrese Anderson holding the reins. Coming from a strong and winning bloodline, Code Red has shaped well in preparation for his debut. Should give a reasonable performance.

5 - CATALEYNA

Cataleyna is a bay filly (March 6) by Casual Trick out of Unpredictable, trained by Michael Marlowe with Anthony Frazer in the saddle. This will be the start of the learning curve for this filly.

6 – MY FRIEND MICKI

My Friend Micki is a bay filly (January 21) by Savoy Stomp, trained by Gary Griffiths with Jaheim Anderson aboard. The most experienced of this lot with three starts to date. My Friend Micki has yet to display much worth.

7 – ABUDAR

Abudar is a bay colt (January 16) by Savoy Stomp out of Ship Sham, trained by Richard Azan with Tevin Foster in the saddle. Has raced once, finishing fourth, way behind stablemate Mohanlal. Needs more time.

8 - RED THIRTYTWO

Red Thirtytwo is a bay colt (March 9) by Hedge Fund out of Roses for Elle, trained by Gary Griffiths with Christopher Ramdeen as the designated rider. This bay colt has been moving well at exercise; a good run is on the cards.

The Galloper’s Verdict

With five debutants in the mix, the race promises early speed and unpredictability. Dark Authority and Victorious Links are expected to show pace from the break, while Code Red could also make his presence felt. However, the edge lies with Mo Pai, who brings valuable race-day experience and now adds Lasix, a factor that often sharpens performance. Red Thirtytwo is the dark horse, capable of springing a surprise if he translates his exercise form to the track.
