KINGSTON, Jamaica – The upset on the Caymanas Saturday card came in the seventh in the form of the Donovan Plummer trained and Jordan Barrett ridden Wilson at searing odds of 15-1.
With Plummer making it known that he was specially preparing his charge for this cup race, Barrett riding according to instructions kept Wilson off the early going, as Enuffisenuff (Reyan Lewis) and Extruder (Tevin Foster) vie for the ascendency.
When the horses circled the final bend Extruder looked the likely winner as in the stretch drive Barrett had to switch Wilson from in between horses to the inside rails where he found his best stride and in a stirring duel with Extruder it was Wilson by a neck.
Extruder was second and Rohan Kabir third.
