KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Racing Office at Caymanas Park has issued an updated list of possible starters in the 2025 Mouttet Mile, after the completition of the Sunday, September 28, race meet. The Mouttet Mile is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Please note the following.
1 – Eight gate positions are allocated to horses based overseas since January 1, 2025.
2 - There are five special races for horses based in Jamaica prior to January 1, 2025. The winners of these races gain automatic entry in the Mouttet Mile. Thus far two of those races have been run, the Ian Levy won by Barnaby and the Jamaica Derby won by I Dream Again.
3 – The ‘Win And You Are In’ races left to be contested are

c) The Port Royal Sprint

They need better selection process
The nb3y0 will have more money than the older horses but the older horses R better and more season runners SVRL NEEDS TO HAV GOOD PURSE MONEY FOR THE OLDER RUNNERS
I think the defending champion should have an automatic selection
Does not happen in the Olypics but it does happen in the World Championships.
