KINGSTON, Jamaica - Despite the presence of the Front Runner Dash Trophy feature for two-year-olds, the non-restricted Overnight Allowance is the highest-rated offering on the 10-race programme at Caymanas Park tomorrow.

The 9 furlongs and 25 yards (1,820m) contest has attracted a field of nine runners competing for the major share of the $1 million purse.

  1. MY ELLE BELLE: (USA 4-y-o ch f – Horse Greeley – Fast Actress) – Finished fourth in the recent Lyrix Soft Drinks Invitational Mile on October 6. Before that race, My Elle Belle was second to Summer Sun over 7 furlongs (1,400m) suggesting that this foreign filly is rounding into good nick. My Elle Belle is therefore expected to produce a more competitive effort despite facing Summer Sun once again. Note My Elle Belle is racing with the cheek pieces off.
  1. SUMMER SUN: (USA 3-y-o ch c - Afleet Alex - A Love Theme) – Was a winner on September 28 in a 7-furlong contest. Summer Sun seems to be developing a liking for 9 furlongs and 25 yards having already won twice over the two-turns of this distance. Summer Sun is steadily finding his hoofs on local soil having a race record of four wins from 12 starts. This foreigner is fit and well prepared for this encounter and given his likeness for 9 furlongs and 25 yards, Summer Sun is afforded every chance of making it two consecutive wins.
  1. JACKO LINKS: (4-y-o dkb c - Distorted - Verify) – Still trying to find his comfort zone at this level and is again attempting to do so in this race.
  1. UNCLE VINNIE: (5-y-o dkb h- Nuclear Wayne - Molten Lava) – Consistent and rugged sort who has been doing tremendously well in recent times. No matter the competition in this grade, Uncle Vinnie always finds a place in the money. Uncle Vinnie is returning to his own tuft after racing against the likes of She’s A Maneater in the recent iCOOL Juice Drink Superstakes. This is where Uncle Vinnie belongs, so expect this five-year-old horse to be in the thick of things when the winning post arrives.
  1. ROYAL VIBES: (9-y-o b g – Royal Minister – November Lace) – Even at nine years Royal Vibes is still competing effectively especially against horses in this class. He is going to enjoy the distance on offer and should hit the board.
  1. SERGEANT RECKLESS: (4-y-o dkb f Storm Craft – Code Star) – Has been bubbling in her last two attempts at the Overnight level with a victory and a second-place both times over five furlongs straight. Tomorrow’s race is 9 furlongs and 25 yards which is the longest distance Sergeant Reckless is going to race in a while. Right now this four-year-old filly is in spanking form but might find the trip a bit taxing. Nevertheless, Sergeant Reckless cannot be ruled out of the reckoning and is going to be consistent throughout. Has a chance of winning but a slim one at best.
  1. MARQUESAS: (4-y-o b c – Coded Warning – Islamorada) – The 2017 two-year-old champion returns to competitive racing after another recuperative break. Marquesas on the exercise track is looking like the horse of old with some good spins but while the journey is right up his sleeves, he may need a run or two before he can be fully effective.
  1. JAMAI RAJA: (6-y-o ch g - Market Rally - Angela’s Favorite) – Shows up when he is ready, so let’s see if he is going to be ready tomorrow.
  1. HOVER CRAFT: (9-y-o b g – He’stherealthing – Royal Pizzaz) – Despite getting on in age, Hover Craft is still there when required by his trainer. Going two turns which he loves, Hover Craft as always will be competitive.
