KINGSTON, Jamaica – It is not often that two brothers are locked in battle in a competitive racing contest at Caymanas Park.
The Foster brothers Orlando the older and Tevin a budding apprentice traded blows with the latter driving Wartime to victory over Cryptocurrency in the final push of a Restricted Overnight Allowance call over 5 ½ furlongs.
Wartime did not break from the gates in good order but Tevin Foster did not rush the mare choosing instead to bide his time on the outside.
By the time the leaders entered the straight, Wartime trained by Wayne Parchment was getting into the picture as Cryptocurrency took over with the advantage.
In a close encounter Wartime got by Cryptocurrency to win by a neck with Sebastian just a length behind in third.
Wartime won at odds of 9-5 in a time of 1:06.1.
