KINGSTON, Jamaica – Three-year-old bay filly Sunset Silhoutte produced a fighting late burst to win the Caymanas Sunday seventh – Division One of the nine furlongs and 25 yards Mr Lover Lover Trophy.
Anthony Thomas kept Sunset Silhoutte along the inside rails from the start, and down the backstretch as Unruly Dude (Robert Halledeen) set the fractions, with Total Prosperity (Matthew Bennett) and Roraima (Tevin Foster) and Sunset Silhoutte tracking in that order.
Halledeen let out a notch rounding the half-mile turn in an attempt to steal the event as Thomas starting to work on Sunset Silhoutte.
Unruly Dude entered the straight for the final two furlongs with a clear advantage as Sunset Silhoutte started to move forward.
The brave Unruly Duke kept on strongly with a furlong to go, with Sunset Silhoutte finding her best stride to go by, winning by two lengths going away. Unruly Dude finished second and Pelicular (Reyan Lewis) third.
