KINGSTON, Jamaica – Under an astute ride by apprentice Oshane Nugent, Rohan Kabir produced the goods to win the eighth on the day at Caymanas Park.
Rohan Kabir trained by champion Anthony Nunes, was held off the early pace set by Halls of Justice (Romario Spencer) in the $1,000,000 - $900,000 Optional Claimer contested for over seven furlongs.
Nugent simply bided his time before taking up the running when the horses moved to the three-furlong point in the race. Thereafter, the race was finished as the jockey kept Rohan Kabir up to his work winning by 3 ½ lengths.
Hover Craft (Javaniel Patterson) was second and Coco Chanel (Omar Walker) third.
Both Rohan Kabir and Coco Chanel were claimed for $1,000,000 each.
