KINGSTON, Jamaica – Regal Prospector, tacking quickly across the track in this short sprint, had to dig deep into reserves to get up and nip Jason’s Gold and Determine King in the Caymanas Tuesday third.
Despite the short distance of this contest jockey Osive Donegal on Regal Prospector trained by Colin Ferguson got rolling quickly to the outside rails from the five draw.
In the last half-a-furlong it was close as Determine King (Gordon Gregory), Jason’s Gold (Dane Nelson) and Regal Prospector were all trying hard to win.
Donegal got Regal Prospector to increase his tempo and with this final thrust and got the job done.
Jason’s Gold and Determine King dead-heated for second.
