KINGSTON, Jamaica – Apprentice and leading rider Christopher Mamdeen had to pull out all the stops on the Gary Subratie trained Rachel’s Grace to win the eighth race on today’s Friday programme currently in progress at Caymanas Park.

When the starter let them go in the Restricted Allowance 11 event for three-year-olds - non-winners of two coming down the four-straight course, it was Just Trick Me (Samantha Fletcher – 8-5) who took the lead like a scared hare. At this time Rachel’s Grace (4-1) was making her move in the middle of the track.

Just Trick Me started to falter in the final furlong and this was when Rachel’s Grace got into top gear – speeding away to win by a length.

Second was Nevada (Jerome Innis) running as the 3-5 on favourite with Time For A Kola (Raddesh Roman – 16-1) third.

Rachel’s Grace recorded a time of 46.3 seconds.

This was Mamdeen second winner on the day.
