Patriarch scorches five straight in 57.3 seconds – second winner for Dane Nelson, Anthony Nunes

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Patriarch a known speedster showed his nine rivals a clean pair of heels as he scorched down the five-straight course to clock a fast time of 57.3 seconds after churning splits of 22.2 x 44.3.

Patriarch (Casual Trick – Electrifying) provided his rider Dane Nelson and trainer Anthony Nunes with their second winner on the “Summit of Speed” race day at Caymanas Park. Surprisingly, Patriarch won at odds of 6-1.

At the off, Patriarch was well away as he took the lead but Nelson had to dig deep as Prince Charles came a calling in the final furlong but Patriarch had enough to hold on for the victory as the undisputed class horse in the race.

Prince Charles (Aaron Chatrie – 3-1 was second with K D Flyer (Dane Dawkins – 5-2) occupying the third slot.

Both Patriarch and Prince Charles are conditioned by Nunes.
