Princess Statistic at 8-5 earns rare win for trainer Ian Alexander – first two races won by horses drawn at 10

KINGSTON, Jamaica – From his eighth runner this season, trainer Ian Alexander saddled his first winner, nine-year-old bay mare Princess Statistic who won the Caymanas Saturday second in what was a romp.

As the gates opened apprentice Jordan Barrett pushed Princess Statistic to the front after which it was a procession for the rest of the event.

Princess Statistic defeated Laws of the Code by a widening 7 lengths with Jason’s Gold (Linton Steadman) third.

Princess Statistic was winning for the fourth time from 74 career starts.

Interestingly, the winners of the first two races, Scoobert and Princess Statistic were both drawn at post position number 10.
