KINGSTON, Jamaica – Trainer Gary Subratie who finished third behind Wayne DaCosta and Anthony Nunes in the 2018 trainers’ championship, started 2019 with a one-two finish in the New Year’s Day third race moments ago at Caymanas Park.
Subratie watched as Miss In Kiss at 3-2 with Aaron Chatrie on board got the better of Nuclear Dan Dada (Kiaman McGregor) at 2-1 over 5 ½ furlongs. Third went to 20-1 shot Smarty Tradition ridden by returning former champion Trevor Simpson.
Miss In Kiss, a four-year-old chestnut filly by Nuclear Wayne – She’s So Lovely covered 5 ½ furlongs in a time of 1:07.3.
