KINGSTON, Jamaica – The 2025 juvenile season is off to a rollicking start with eight two-year-olds nominated to race in the first event for the young ones.
The list of all the newcomers racing on the day is provided below for the benefit of readers.
TWO-YEAR-OLDS
FERNANDO is a chestnut colt (February 17) by Successful Native out of Dancing Queen, trained by Anthony Nunes with Shane Ellis riding.
GREEN PAINT is a bay filly (April 9) by Savoy Stomp out of Francia’s Pride, trained by Saqlain Roman with Anthony Allen holding the reins with Anthony Allen aboard.
MAYBELLE is bay filly (March 29) by Sensational Slam out of Let’s Get It On, trained by Jason DaCosta with Robert Halledeen holding the reins.
MY FRIEND MICKI is a bay filly (January 21) by Savoy Stomp out of Bubbling Angeline, trained by Gary Griffiths with Paul Francis as the designated jockey.
TIA MARIA is chestnut filly (February 2) by Bold Conquest out of Zacapa, trained by Anthony Nunes with in the irons.
AWINGANDAPRAYER is a chestnut filly (January 9) by Bern Identity out of Keep The Faith, trained by Gary Griffiths with at the reins.
FIDELITY is bay colt (March 28) by Bern Identity out of Hush My Darling, trained by Jason DaCosta with Reyan Lewis as the pilot.
SALUTE THE DON is a chestnut colt (March 19) by Aveenu Malcainu out of Abicadabby trained by Gary Subratie with Dane Dawkins in the saddle.
THREE-YEAR-OLDS
HUMBLE LADY is a bay filly (April 17) by Successful Native out of Queen of the Harbour, trained by Donovan Plummer with Chalrick Budhai aboard.
