KINGSTON, Jamaica – The drought which has plagued trainer Gordon Lewis is finally over.
Lewis achieved his first winner for the year and his first in an awfully long time when his eight-year-old horse Stan Roy ran a blinder to win the ninth race of 11 on today’s 11-race card at Caymanas Park.
The race was a Restricted Allowance – non-winners of two for four-year-olds and up over 6 ½ furlongs.
Second, 10 lengths behind the winner was Fiery Parth with Stormonthesea third.
The winning rider was apprentice Reyan Lewis.
