KINGSTON, Jamaica – The last time Hot Ice raced she was a winner at odds of 5-1, today in the Caymanas Saturday third, the five-year-old bay mare made it two in a row this time at odds of 7-1.

With jockey Omar Simpson again chosen to ride by trainer Raymond Townsend, Hot Ice was kept off the early splits set by Herecomestheboss (Javaniel Patterson). The latter took the field into the last two furlongs as Simpson pushed Hot Ice to challenge.

Hot Ice took over but had to withstand the late burst of Kiah (Dick Cardenas). Simpson riding hard was able to achieve victory by three parts of a length.

Kiah was second and 4-5 favourite Sir Puddington who was never a winning factor end in third place.
