The late Hubert Bartley, one of the top jockeys to ride at the Park, will be honoured on Sunday (June 26) with a race run in his memory – the $1.05 million Hubert Bartley Memorial Trophy for Overnight Allowance horses going 7 ½ furlongs (1,500m).

The analysis of the 10 runners entered is below.

  1. EROY (USA): (5 b h by Khozan – Golden Bucket) – Returned from a 182-day break finishing third behind Double Diva and Prince Marshall at seven furlongs. With that pipe-opener, Eroy should now be cherry ripe and could put these away with the minimum of fuss. Plus, he Eroy has looked start at exercise and with lesser rivals to deal with will be hard to deny.
  1. BERN NOTICE: (4 ch c by Bern Identity – Blufield) – Bern Notice is steadily finding his way at this level with his best hope being a minor placing.
  1. HELICOPTER:(5 b g by Storm Craft – Face Tracker) – Helicopter is slowly coming to grips with the Overnight class and will be happy with the extension of the distance, yet the best he can do against these is a place on the board.
  1. UNCLE FRANK: (8 dkb g by Storm Craft – Dusty Milly) – Not the force he once was, probably better off in claiming. could run surprisingly well.
  1. BIG BIG DADDY:(5 b c by Natural Selection – Just A Flutter) – Has done nothing this season, with this trend expected to continue.
  1. AWESOME TREASURE (USA): (5 b m by Awesome of Course – Bossy Gal) – Came to the party on last when finishing second behind Money Monster in the Alsafra. With her well-being exposed, Awesome Treasure is poised for another good run.
  1. DENBIGH LIFE: (6 ch m by Adore The Gold – City Train) – Out for the experience.
  1. AMY THE BUTCHER:(4 gr f by Deputy Glitters – Asia’s Dream) – Finished fourth in her first run at this level. Amy The Butcher should have benefited from that outing and could put in another good showing here.
  1. MINIATURE MAN:(4 ch g by Northern Giant – Runaway Gal) – Should have won the recent Alsafra Trophy but finished third behind Money Monster and Awesome Treasure, in what was a tame display by this former Classic winner. Miniature Man faces Awesome Treasure again and will be hard pressed to defeat this mare.
  1. OUT ON A LIMB: (6 ch m by Who’s Stayin On – Storm watch) – Did extremely well to reach this level. Out On A Limb is going to find the going tough and should be left alone.
