KINGSTON, Jamaica - The seventh of ten races on Saturday, September 30, 2023, features a three-year-old maiden call for foreign horses and a non-winners-of-two event for locally bred competitors at four furlongs.

The Quick Galloper's analysis of the 13 entered is provided below.

– BRITTBRIAN EXPRESS, a bay filly (USA, born March 20), sired by Amira's Prince and out of Ketchmewhereyoucan. Trained by Philip Feanny with jockey Jordan Barrett. Notably, Brittbrian Express races without blinkers and a figure 8. She is slowly improving but remains a non-contender.

– ARIA'S REIGN, a dark bay filly (born April 8) by Resurgence out of Nuclear Warning. Steven Todd trains her, and Raddesh Roman rides. Aria's Reign demonstrated strong effort in the September 16 race over six furlongs. Expect her to come from behind in this one.

– PRINCESS AKILAH, a bay filly (born February 27) by Nasheet out of Princess Lorna. Anthony Nunes trains her with Ramon Nepare as the jockey. Still attempting to acclimate to this group.

– GOLDEN SYRUP, a grey filly (born May 18) sired by Lion Tamer and out of Sweet Sugar. Trained by Anthony Nunes with jockey Tevin Foster. She won her only race at this distance in May but hasn't shown enough promise since to suggest another win is likely.

– DE LYE LA, a bay filly (born February 25) by Bern Identity out of Along. Ian Parsard trains her with Reyan Lewis riding. As a known speedster with an affinity for straight courses, De Lye La should fare well at this distance.

– RIDGE LINER, a bay colt (born May 27) by Dreamliner out of Ma Grande. Dale Murphy trains him with jockey Shavon Townsend. Ridge Liner races without blinkers and a tongue tie after a 140-day break. This outing may prepare him for a finish on the board.

– RUNNING GLORY, a bay filly (USA, born April 2) by The Big Beast out of Talent N Speed. Jason DaCosta trains her with Jerome Innis riding. A disappointing and speedy runner, Running Glory will try the straight course for the first time. This race presents her last chance to prove herself.

– COALITION, a chestnut filly (born April 29) by Wicked Strong out of Misunify. Dale Murphy trains her with champion jockey Dane Dawkins riding. In her first non-winners-of-two attempt, Coalition likely won't shine despite Dawkins' presence.

– CITY HAWK, a bay filly (born February 28) sired by Midnight Hawk and out of Magic City. Ricardo Brown trains her with Samantha Fletcher in the saddle. Racing from a new stable and showing preference for straight courses, City Hawk may surprise.

– DIGITAL CITY, a bay filly (born January 14) by Wannabeaplayer out of Morning Grace. Gary Subratie trains her with jockey Youville Pinnock. Consistently present in her races, Digital City's experience gives her a shot at success.

- FLYBLUEJET is a dark bay filly (USA, April 3) sired by Air Force Blue and foaled by Perfectly Beautiful. Trained by Philip Feanny and ridden by Oneil Mullings, she has caught the attention of onlookers during her morning exercises. Although her past performance does not indicate a strong win, Flybluejet should not be discounted.

- BLINKIN LIGHT is a bay colt (April 12) by Patton Proud out of Storm Girl, under the guidance of trainer Gary Griffiths and jockey Anthony Allen. However, he does not have a realistic chance of success.

- SMART ASSET is a bay colt (April 27) sired by Bold Conquest and foaled by Cerasini. Trained by Tensang Chung with Matthew Bennett aboard, he won his debut race 63 days ago over the same distance as Saturday's event. Keep an eye on Smart Asset.
