KINGSTON, Jamaica – Apprentice Christopher Mamdeen continued his imperious form winning for the fifth time from the last 13 races run at Caymanas Park when he guided the Ray Phillips trained Blu Attitude to an easy win in the day’s third race on the Saturday, 11-race programme.
Blu Attitude, who was also the “Cook Food Special” won by 2 ¼ lengths over newcomer Chief of State (David McKenzie) and Mother Nature (Natalie Burger).
The winning time for 5 furlongs straight in the Maiden Condition (4-y-o and up) event was 1:02.1.
The race honoured jockey Al Gopie who died while riding 20 years ago. Gopie won 220 races in his career.
