KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jockey Trevor “Slicer” Simpson made use of a chance ride opportunity to win the Caymanas Tuesday nightcap on the Steven Todd trained The Genesis.
Breaking from the number six starting stall, Simpson wasted little time in sending The Genesis, a three-year-old dark bay filly by Here Comes Ben – Special Report to the lead.
From there on there were no challengers as The Genesis galloped resolutely to win by three lengths.
Curlin’s Kawartha (Robert Halledeen) ran on to take second with the well backed Rising Saint (Chris Mamdeen) third.
