Apprentice Riders Update – Up To July 13, 2025

KINGSTON, Jamaica - In mid-December 2024, a new cohort of apprentice riders successfully graduated from the Racing School operated by the Jamaica Racing Commission.

After approximately seven months of competitive riding, many in the group have begun to make its mark on the local racing circuit.

Richie Shakes currently tops the cohort with an impressive 23 wins from 169 mounts.

Demar Williams follows closely, having secured 19 wins from 186 rides.
