KINGSTON, Jamaica – After sitting cosily behind the early leaders, apprentice Daniel Satchell brought his mount Wilson trained by Richard Azan with a telling stretch run to win the just completed sixth race at Caymanas Park for high claimers over 5 1/12 furlongs.
Satchell was winning his second on the day to move his overall tally of winners to six since he started riding at the end of September. Wilson went off at odds of 2-1 and recorded a time of 1:06.3.
Second at starting odds of 6-1 was Mr Ambassador (Christopher Mamdeen) and third went to Pleasant Secret at 13-1.
The 4-5 favourite Dragline (Omar Walker) broke badly from the gates and never recovered.
