KINGSTON, Jamaica – Displaying grit and determination, Another Commander racing on a claiming tag made it two wins in a row to start off the Caymanas Tuesday first of 11 races.

A seemingly revitalized apprentice Shane Richardson took Another Commander straight to the lead when let loose from his starting stall.

Another Commander, the Lawrence Freemantle trainee warded off a persistent Mr Ambassador for the first three furlongs and then assumed the lead entering the straight tracked by Reigning King (Dane Nelson).

Although drifting to the middle of the racetrack, Another Commander galloped strong and still had enough to hold the late surge of Unknown Soldier (Aaron Chatrie) on the inside rails.

Third went to Bloodsweatandtears (Mario Chung).
