KINGSTON, Jamaica - There are two races for three-year-olds on the Sunday programme of May 22, 2022. The first of these races is a maiden contest over the five straight course and the second in a (non-winners of two) going seven furlongs.
THE QUICK GALLOPER continues to scrutinize the three-year-old grouping beginning with the maiden event in which 14 of the cohort are entered.
1 – Sneaky Joe is a bay colt (April 2 29) by Sensational Slam out of Distinctly Natural trained by Edward Stanberry with Reyan Lewis in the saddle. Has not shown anything significant at exercise to suggest he can make an impact on debut.
2 – Nikita B is a bay filly (March 19) by Deputy Glitters out of Osada trained by Phillip Lee with Christopher Mamdeen in the saddle. Will learn from this first experience.
3 – King Air is a chestnut colt (March 14) by Midnight Hawk out of Mameta trained by Edward Stanberry with Marshall Porter in the saddle. King Air has raced twice and is yet to get noticed. Note, King Air races with the visor off and the cheek pieces on.

Returns having stripped fitter and looking better in the mornings, making Buzz City Light is a live threat in this one.
5 -Josh is a bay colt (April 12) by Casual Trick out of Jazzy Jet trained by Richard Azan with Bebeto Harvey in the saddle. Was sent off as the odds-on 1-2 favourite just eight days ago but found newcomer Unruly Dude too hot to handle. On Sunday, Josh faces lesser opponents and be there to fight it out.
6 – Tigray Express is a bay colt (April 23) by Traditional out of Kiri trained by Patrick Lynch with Daniel Satchell in the saddle. Was declared a late non-starter when nominated to make his debut on April 18. It is a wait and see game with Tigray Express.
7 – Sonny T and Chippy is a bay colt (May 27) by Savoy Stomp out of Trinket Box trained by Spencer Chung with Robert Halledeen in the saddle. This half-brother of Calculus makes his long-awaited debut and does show with exercise reports indicating that Sonny T And Chippy is making rapid progress. With nothing to fear among these, Sonny T And Chippy can make a positive statement.

9 – Code of Conduct is a bay filly (February 3) by Midnight Hawk out of Amicable trained by Gresford Smith with Oneil Mullings in the saddle. Has shown some promise and her time will come but not on Sunday.

13 – Devonte is a grey gelding (April 8) by Fearless Vision out of Eighteen Karat trained by Anthony Nunes with Ruja Lahoe in the saddle. Devonte is the most experienced of this lot and will use the outside post in this five straight to have a significant chance of winning. Note, Devonte races with the visor off and the blinkers on.
14 – GT Boy is a dark bay gelding (June 21) by Here Comes Ben out of Rejected Slew trained by Anthony Nunes with Tevin Foster in the saddle. GT Boy is best left alone.
