KINGSTON, Jamaica – Two maiden three-year-old contests are slated on the 10-race card of Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Caymanas Park.
The first of these races (Division 1), is the first on the Sunday programme going five furlongs round.
The analysis by THE QUICK GALLOPER is published below.
1 – TRUE RYLIE is a bay filly (May 6) by Savoy Stomp out of Go Flint Go trained by Al Brown with Oshane Nugent aboard. Has shown little sign of ability in her four starts to date. Note, True Rylie races with the visor off and the blinkers on.
2 – SIR RAGBAR BAPI is a bay gelding (March 30) by Storm Craft out of Lady Najariya trained by Rowan Mathie with Roger Hewitt aboard. This gelding has no chance of winning.
3 – JUNGLE BOOGIE is a bay colt (April 14) by Soul Warrior out of Ashley Call trained by Anthony Nunes with Shane Ellis aboard. Slowly finding his way. Seems to have some speed in his hoofs, and with Ellis guiding, Jungle Boogie gets a clear opportunity of registering his first win.
4 – LADY BEN is a bay filly (January 9) by Here Comes Ben out of Lady Maragin trained by Michael Marlowe with Andre Powell aboard. This is a seasoned filly, with 15 starts to her credit. She finished third on last (8 days ago), signaling some form. Lady Ben should be in the mix and may play the role of spoiler.
5 – THE GIFTED ONE is a bay colt (May 30) by Buzz Nightmare out of Venice Mellesa trained by Phillip Lee with Nicholas Hibbert aboard. Best effort is a place on the board.
6 – TIGRAY EXPRESS is a bay colt (April 23) by Traditional out of Kiri trained by Patrick Lynch with Tevin Foster aboard. Can be disregarded from contention.
7 - ONE LIKE IT is a chestnut colt (January 28) by Deputy Glitters out of Sandbath trained by Gresford Smith with Dane Dawkins aboard. One Like It has been a model of consistency in her four starts to date. This filly could not ask for a better prospect of shedding the maiden tag.
8 – PREMIER IDENTITY is a chestnut filly (April 5) by Bern Identity out of Twist and Turn trained by Howard Jaghai with Ramon Nepare aboard. This filly is till finding her way. It is a long journey.- Note, Premier Identity races with the tongue tie off. May hit the board.
9 – THE PULSE is a bay filly (January 29) by Casual Trick out of Heart Beat trained by Kibbeisha Little with Shavon Townsend aboard. Still on the difficult learning curve.
