KINGSTON, Jamaica – The eighth race of eleven on the Saturday card of July 23, 2022, is a three-year-old (non-winners of two) for locally bred horses and a maiden for three-year-old foreigners (division 2) going five furlongs round.
Nine horses are entered in this contest with THE QUICK GALLOPER’S assessment published below.
– BERLINO’S CHOICE is a chestnut filly (February 22) by Berlino Di Tiger out of Mete-Orite. Second time in non-two, needs time.
– MILA’S ALL THAT is a chestnut filly (February 3) by Bern Identity out of Salty Talk. Slowly getting accustomed to this grouping. She will gain valuable experience. Note, Mila’s All That races with the blinkers off, and the cheek pieces on.
- SHE’S FANTASTIC is a dark bay filly (March 21) by Bern Identity out of Fantabulous. Last time out She’s Fantastic finished third at seven furlongs. The reduction in the distance by two furlongs favours She’s Fantastic, who has speed and will have to be caught.
– RUPUNZEL is a bay filly (April 9) by Savoy Stomp out of Miss Pasion. Still trying to cope with non-two.
– PERFECT BREW is a bay gelding (May 10) by Bern Identity out of Moonlight Brew. Now that Perfect Brew Classic aspirations have been curtailed, he can now settle down  to the task of winning races at trips more aligned to his talent. He finished second 28 days ago just a head behind Gilbert. Perfect Brew has been going well at exercise and is tipped to return to the winners’ enclosure. Note, Perfect Brew races with the tongue tie on.
– DEGAULLE is a bay colt (March 23) by Soul Warrior out of Femme Doree. Has not shown much in his two non-two efforts at this level and that will not change on Saturday.
– WOWZA is a dark bay colt (USA March 5) by Jack Milton out of Springtime Rain. Can safely be put aside, as this foreigner is still trying to find his way on local soil.
– BABYLIKE is a dark bay filly (May 1) by Savoy Stop out of Ladylike. Coming off a long break of 168 days, and despite being well prepared may need the run to get in prime condition.
– BUGATTI is a bay colt (March 24) by Casual Trick out of Charmin’ Diaz. This colt is learning from his four efforts in this class. Bugatti cannot be denied a chance based on his experience.
