KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission’s (BGLC) sponsored Emancipation Day (August 1, 2022), features a three-year-old maiden event at 5 ½ furlongs with eight horses entered.
THE QUICK GALLOPER’S analysis of these eight runners is provided below for readers.
– SIR RAGBAR BAPI (b g by Storm Craft out of Lady Najariya) – Has raced six times and has nothing to show for his efforts. Note, Sir Ragbar Bapi races with the cheek pieces on.
– LADY LAWLA (b f by Clock Work out of The Marshal’s Diva) – Has much to learn.
– GT BOY (drk b by Here Comes Ben out of Rejected Slew) – Getting along and against much-weakened opposition has a good chance of releasing the maiden tag. Note, GT Boy races with the visor.
– MILLINIUM STAR is racing for the first time and is a bay filly (February 18) by Storm Craft out of Running Star) trained by Johnny Wilmot with Paul Francis. This newcomer is in for the experience.
– JOE (ch c by Legal Process out of Lady Jameela) – Joe has finished third in his last two outings from seven overall. Joe is provided with a good opportunity of getting off the mark. Note, Joe races with the visor off, and the blinkers on.
– OPHELIA’S MOM (b f by Casual Trick out of Mom’s Student) – Still in the infancy of her racing career.
– LAST BID (b c by Soul Warrior out of Circle the Heart) – Last Bid has raced four times and has hit the board four times. This colt, therefore, enters with the best form and as such is the bid favourite to win. Note, Last Bid races with the blinkers on.
– KETURAH ( b f by Legal Process out of Kalamata) – Has no chance.
