KINGSTON, Jamaica - The Exodus, trained by Steven Todd and ridden by Anthony Thomas, just got up in time to beat rivals in a Maiden Condition race for native-bred four-year-olds and upwards going 5 furlongs (1,000m) straight).

The Exodus broke off slow, racing behind pacesetters Another Wave (Anthony Thomas), Cave Man (Ramon Nepare), and Blade (Bebeto Harvey).

The Exodus continued to follow the front-runners as Blade emerged as the lone leader passing the dummy rails, looking strong on the front end while approaching the final furlong (200m) of the race.

Then Thomas produced his mount late and The Exodus got up in the nick of time for the win after an absence of 399 days.

The Exodus won by three quarters of a length ahead of Blade and Another Wave in a time of 1:04.2 (24.4 x 48.1).
