Trainer Joseph Thomas notched his 300th career victory at Caymanas Park on Saturday, August 9, 2025, when Ballistic Missile broke his maiden in the second race on the programme.

The race, a 5-furlong straight event for native-bred four-year-olds and upward, saw Ballistic Missile, partnered by Shane Ellis, clock 1:03.4 to win by half a length.

Ballistic Missile racing with the blinkers off was quickest out of the starting gates and immediately assumed the lead. Girlythebutcher (Teneca Wolfe), Rock-Ola (Richie Shakes), and Lucy on the Go (Oneil Mullings) settled behind the early leader.

Approaching the final furlong, Lucy on the Go mounted a challenge, narrowing the margin. However, Ballistic Missile maintained his advantage to the wire, securing the win. Lucy on the Go finished second, with Rock-Ola taking third. It was Thomas’ eighth success this season from 40 starts.

The result marked a significant milestone for Thomas, whose training career continues to show steady success.
