KINGSTON, Jamaica – Fortuneonehundred added another tick in his win column after he won the Caymanas Sunday first.
The 11-year-old foreigner registered his 23rd win from 77 starts in a five-year-old and upwards Optional Claiming ($180,000 - $150,000) contest going the distance of 5 ½ furlongs.
This was one of the easier victories for Fortuneonehundred as jockey Andre Powell sent the Errol Subratie trainee to the lead after leaving his starting stall and thereafter was never in danger of being caught.
Fortuneonehundred won at odds of 9-1 with Synchronize (Tevin Foster) second, and No Money Friend (Omar Walker) third.
Subratie who has been having a much improved season was saddling his 15th winner in 2021.
