KINGSTON, Jamaica – The third of ten races on Saturday, July 5, 2025, is for native-bred three-year-olds (non-winners of two races) and imported maiden three-year-olds, going seven furlongs.

Six are entered, and The Quick Galloper offers this analysis of the likely outcome:

1 – PRINCE KAZAIRE: Failed to fire in the 2000 Guineas, then returned just six days later in a non-two to finish third – nearly ten lengths behind Danka. His past efforts suggest a liking for the straight course. He’ll likely need more time to notch win number two.

2 – NUCLEAR JET: Broke his maiden in his second start over 6 ½ furlongs. Then stretched out to nine furlongs and 25 yards, finishing third – 4 ¼ lengths behind Lockdown. He’s progressing steadily, and with the champion jockey aboard, he must be respected.

3 – ENTHUSIASM: Didn’t show up in the 1000 Guineas, but rebounded 21 days later in a non-two (6 ½ furlongs), finishing second just 1 ½ lengths behind Woman In Love. Now going seven furlongs, she’s well-tuned to secure her second win.

4 – COSALIVIN: Ran behind Enthusiasm last week after a troubled start. With eleven races under her girth, Cosalivin brings experience and should not be dismissed.

5 – PERFECT AFFAIR: Gradually finding her rhythm. Was outpaced by Nuclear Jet at nine furlongs and 25 yards. The cutback to seven furlongs should suit her better. She remains a live contender.

6 – MY ECLIPSE: Showed early speed in the 2000 Guineas before fading. Has been holding his own in non-two company and, with the top-tier three-year-olds absent, is well-placed to land his second career win.
