KINGSTON, Jamaica - The Quick Galloper gives a status report on the participants in the 2023 edition of the Sir Howard Stakes, to see how they have managed in their careers, one year after.

The Sir Howard Stakes is a three-year-old - non-winners of two event at six furlongs for colts and geldings.

This review is done in finishing order.

FIRST: El Afortunado won this Classic prep race in convincing fashion, thereby raising expectations for future endeavours. Those expectations have not been fulfilled by El Afortunado, as he had failed to increase his tally of wins since victory in the 2023 Sir Howard. He raced on Saturday last (March 16) in a four-year-old non-three, finishing down the track.

SECOND: Big Guy In The Sky ran a a commendable race to finish second in this call. Since then Big Guy In The Sky has not been around in any significant way.

THIRD: Whizz Kidd has not been able to do much since the 2023 Sir Howard.

FOURTH: Kindred Spirit cannot be accounted for at this time.

FIFTH: Curlin’s Noon has not made any progress since the 2023 Sir Howard.
