Owner-trainer Debra Donaldson earned her first career victory on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Gulfstream Park when her 4-year-old gelding Skyliner (US$14.80) rallied from last in a five-horse field to win a mile-and-70-yard maiden claimer ($17,500 tag) over the Tapeta all-weather surface.
Ridden by jockey Wesley Henry, Skyliner dropped back to trail early fractions of 23.83, 47.79, and 1:13.43 before making a wide sweeping move into the stretch. He pulled clear late to secure a decisive six-length victory, finishing in a total time of 1:46.73. None of the runners were claimed out of the race.
The victory marked Donaldson's 34th career start as a trainer (and 22nd start of 2026) since entering the sport in August 2024.
