KINGSTON, Jamaica - With no trophy race being offered, the three-year-old and upwards Claiming ($1,000, 000 -$800,000) event should provide racegoers with some entertainment on the nine-race card tomorrow, Monday, November 15, 2021, at Caymanas Park. Nine runners are down to compete over 5 ½ furlongs (1,100m).
Below is the analysis of each runner.
  1. GENTLE GIANT: (3 b c by Northern Giant – Awesome Camille) – Gentle Giant was a late non-starter on last (October 30). He now runs for a tag and based on previous efforts, he should up his performance level but against these hardened and seasoned opponents, it will not be easy for him to win. 5-1
  1. BELTANE: (7 ch g by Nasheet – Bright Chapel) – Struggling in recent times and that should continue. 99-1
  1. PRINCE CHARLES: (5 ch g by Mine Over Matter – She’s Spectacular) –Prince Charles last five runs were in the upper class and although down a few classes here, he should be left alone. 12-1
  1. EXTRUDER: (5 ch h by Adore The Gold – Mama Blossom) – Looks likely the one to beat in this high claiming contest. Extruder finished down the track in his last race over 7 furlongs on September 11 but has been training well since. Extruder should be suited by this shorter trip and could lead home rivals. 5-2
  1. LIGHTNING MCQUEEN: (6 b h by Adore The Gold – Herroyalhighness) – Consistent sort who has won three races from his last four starts. Lightning McQueen is comfortable among these and thus a winning run is surely on the table. 2-1
  1. SIR KEL: (5 b g by Freedom for Jante – Gold Price) – Sir Kel is more effective over the straight course andshould find a many of his rivals in his way. 45-1
  1. PEKING CRUZ: (6 ch g by Traditional – Patty Girl) – On his best day, Peking Cruz would smash these with the minimum of fuss. However, returning from a layoff of 161 days, Peking Cruz is going to need the run but will not be disgraced. May well use his back class to win. Note the blinkers are on. 12-1
  1. MR UNIVERSE: (7 ch h by Region of Merit – Raging Fury) – Ran well out of the straight on October 31, last when finishing third to Task Force and Cartel. Mr Universe should again play a prominent role. 3-1
  1. PAPITO: (4 b c by Petionville – Beware The Boys) – Getting into some form but will have to do more to win this one. 9-1
