KINGSTON, Jamaica – Champion trainer Anthony Nunes dug deeper into the lead of challenger Jason DaCosta when his trainee He Can Dance delivered the goods in the Caymanas Thursday second over seven furlongs.

With Paraiso winning the first for Nunes and with the deficit behind DaCosta standing at $1,476,845, that deficit figure was further reduced to $1,100,095, as He Can Dance earned another $376,750 (approximately) for his conditioner.

It was a twist of fate for DaCosta as his entry Night Light (Anthony Thomas), while leading comfortably broke down navigating the bend, forcing Thomas to pull up. Luckily, Thomas was able to stay in the saddle. Night Light was the 1-5 favourite.

He Can Dance won the three-year-old and upwards Optional Claimer ($400,000 - $300,000) without any fuss by eight lengths. Diligent (Phillip Parchment) finished second with Musketoon (Romario Spencer) third.
