KINGSTON, Jamaica – The switch from Dane Nelson to Omar Walker on Toona Ciliata was criticised by many but the “Hot Walker” proved himself among the best in the saddle with impressive guidance on the four-year-old.
Walker kept Toona Ciliata near to the early leaders but with six furlongs left in the nine furlongs and 25 yards Open Allowance Bonnie Blue Flag Trophy, he pushed Toona Ciliata to the front, with 2020 – 2000 Guineas winner Wow Wow snapping closely by.
Entering the straight, Walker quickly changed to a right foot lead and Toona Ciliata got into his ackee, nonchalantly increasing his margin in front with Wow Wow unable to deliver a worthwhile challenge.
In the end, Toona Ciliata, now at the top of his game won by five lengths over Wow Wow with rank 99-1 outsider Uncle Vinnie finishing third.
The time was a fast 1:53.3.
Well fancied 2019 Triple Crown winner Supreme Soul was never in the race.

This was the second winner for trainer Nunes on the day.
This was the first time Walker was riding Toona Ciliata.
Toona Ciliata has never lost while travelling over nine furlongs and 25 yards.
Bold Aflair died after the finish of the race.
