O & S Tack Room Trophy

Overnight Allowance – One Mile – 13 Starters

The ninth race on Saturday, August 30, 2025, is the day’s feature, the O & S Tack Room Trophy, open to horses competing at the Overnight Allowance level.

The race will be run over a distance of one mile, with thirteen horses entered.

Below is The Quick Galloper’s assessment of each runner.

1) WHIZZ KIDD – Has not shown the level of competitiveness required for this grouping. A move to the claiming ranks may offer a more realistic opportunity to win. Based on current form, not expected to influence the outcome.

2) SUPER ALEX – Has been active in Overnight Allowance without breaking through. Finished second to Girvano over 7½ furlongs on August 6, showing he can stay close to stronger opponents. If that effort is repeated, he should be involved in the finish and is a solid candidate for a placing.

3) HUNTSMAN – Has not delivered performances that suggest readiness for Overnight Allowance. No recent signs of improvement. Will likely trail the field.

4) MAIN MISTRESS – Has been gaining exposure to this level and is beginning to adjust. Still lacks the consistency to be considered a threat. Needs to show more than what has been seen so far to be competitive in this grade.

5) MPRS LINKS – Equipment change with visor removed, but recent runs offer little encouragement. Has not produced results that indicate a shift in trajectory. Unlikely to factor.

6) ANTARCTICA – Past form has faded. Recent races have shown decline. Even a return to earlier performance levels may not be enough to contend. Will need a major turnaround to be relevant.

7) PROVIDENT – Recently moved up to Overnight Allowance. Has made efforts but is still adapting. Not ready to win but could sneak into the lower rungs of the exotics. Worth considering for trifecta and superfecta combinations.

8) FLORINDIA – Ran 2½ lengths behind Supernatural Power on August 2. That result suggests steady progress since arriving on local soil. Has handled the distance before and should be in the mix. Capable of getting close.

9) MAGNIFICENT FORCE – Has not settled into Overnight Allowance. Struggles to maintain position during key stages of the race. May finish in the top four but does not appear ready to win.

 10) SUPREMASI – Was first past the post last time but lost the race via disqualification. Has proven ability over the mile. The switch from Raddesh Roman to Romario Spencer introduces a variable, but overall, Supremasi remains one of the stronger entries.

11) MR SENATOR – Comes up from the claiming ranks. Tends to run on late but lacks early pace. Could pick off tired runners in the stretch but will not be near the front early. Minor placing possible.

12) ALLEGIANCE – Has not raced over a mile since February 22. Still learning the demands of Overnight Allowance. May improve over time but not expected to deliver on Saturday.

 13) LION CHARMER – Has not shown any form that warrants consideration. No evidence of competitiveness at this level. Will not be involved.

 THE QUICK GALLOPER’S VERDICT

SUPREMASI is the most likely winner, with SUPER ALEX and FLORINDIA expected to challenge for the minors. PROVIDENT and MAGNIFICENT FORCE are best placed for inclusion in exotic bets. The remaining runners are not expected to influence the final result.
