KINGSTON, Jamaica – Three horses, all three-year-olds, hit the racetrack for their first effort in competitive racing on the nine-race card of Monday, May 22, 2023, at Caymanas Park.
The three newbies are as follows.
CAPTAIN CALICO is a chestnut colt (April 17) by Soul Warrior out of Rackham’s Mistress, trained by Anthony Nunes with Linton Steadman aboard. Note, Captain Calico was nominated to race two weeks ago, but that race was abandoned.
SKY RIZI is a chestnut colt (April 1) by Tapilu out of Who’s Bossy, trained by Donovan Plummer with Andree Powell aboard.
SHIP AHOY is a chestnut colt (January 16) by Soul Warrior out of Ship Sham, trained by Anthony Nunes with jockey Linton Steadman holding a number two paper.
