KINGSTON, Jamaica - The sixth race of ten on Saturday, March 30, 2024, is a three-year-old maiden call at seven furlongs.

Eleven horses are entered to compete, with The Quick Galloper’s assessment of the 11 participants provided below in draw order.

- BRENDA BOY is a bay colt (April 3) by Savoy Stomp out of Delightful Brenda, trained by Fitzgerald Richards, with Linton Steadman riding. Note, that Brenda Boy races with the figure eight on. Has raced on three occasions, finishing third, all three times. With the figure eight now on, this colt will once again hit the board.

- RACK DEM is a grey filly (April 24) by Midnight Hawk out of Cherokee Way, trained by Fernando Geddes, with Paul Francis aboard. Note, Rack Dem races with the blinkers on. Slowly finding her way. Needs more time.

- ROMAN PRINCESS is a chestnut filly (April 1) by Soul Warrior out of Lovely Day, trained by Saqlain Roman, with Josue Osorio holding the reins. This is an improving filly, who should be watched for a minor placing.

- CAPTAIN SPARROW is a bay colt (March 16) by Savoy Stomp out of Rackam’s Mistress, trained by Anthony Nunes with Reyan Lewis in the saddle. Although finishing all of 7 ¼ lengths behind Shany Star going seven furlongs (March 16), on debut, Captain Sparrow gives the impression that he is of much worth. Would have stripped fitter from that debut effort, making him the wide favourite to get off the mark.

- SEA PLANE is a bay gelding (March 27) by Storm Craft out of Face Tracker, trained by Gordon Lewis, with Shane Richardson riding. First-timers will learn.

- ROSETTA is a roan filly (April 6) by Bold Conquest out of Khadiliah, trained by Jason DaCosta, with Robert Halledeen aboard. Note, Rosetta races with the blinkers off. This filly is difficult to assess. Rosetta is coming off a 70-day break, after a lukewarm seasonal start on January 20, when she finished 5 ¾ lengths adrift of Lady Lauren going six furlongs. Rosetta, having been timely prepared is expected to fight out this finish.

- KAYLYN MELODY is a bay filly (May 19) by Casual Trick out of Darlin, trained by Robert Pearson, with Tevin Foster holding the reins. In her four starts to date, this filly has progressed nicely. That progress has been carried over to morning exercise, making Katlyn’s Melody, who will have no issue with the distance, come into consideration in this event.

- HICKORY STAR is a chestnut colt (April 12) by Sensational Slam out of Mete-Orite, trained by Ian Parsard, with Omar Walker in the saddle. Note, Hickory Slim races with the blinkers and tongue tie-off. Needs to get in more races in his hoofs.

- TOWN STAR is a bay colt (April 20) by Tapilu out of Starofthetown, trained by Donovan Plummer, with Andree Powell riding. Gaining experience is the main objective of this newcomer.

- ROCK-OLA is a chestnut colt (April 3) by Bold Conquest out of Kitty Hawk, trained by Michael Marlowe, with Phillip Parchment, the designated jockey. Note, that Rock-Ola races with first-time Lasix. Has done well in his two starts to date. Will have a say in the outcome.

- INDESTRUCTIBLE is a bay colt (January 25) by Successful Native out of Rudy Girl, trained by Phillip Elliott, with Youville Pinnock aboard. Note, Indestructible races with the visor off. Difficult to give Indestructible even an outsider’s chance at success.
