KINGSTON, Jamaica – Twelve horses are entered in The Kingston 2023.

The Quick Galloper has sifted through the 12 horses set to compete and has compiled some special notes, which are published below.

 – The Kingston is an event for three-year-old colts and geldings. There are no geldings in The Kingston 2023.

 – There are two grey-coloured horses in The Kingston, Mojito, and Kai On The Go.

– Mojito, Sensational Move, Kai On The Go, Ability, and Huntsman enter the 2023 The Kingston, as winners of their last race. Interestingly, Sensational Move, Kai On The Go, Huntsman, and Ability all have a race record of one win from one start.

– The horse with the most wins is the champion two-year-old of 2022, and the hot favourite for The Kington with a compilation of three victories from five starts. Next in line are Ability with two wins from two efforts, and Rejected Raja, with two wins from five starts. All the other runners have won only once.

– The horse with the most starts among the 12 in The Kingston is by far Whizz Kidd. Whizz Kidd has accumulated 13 starts with a record of one win, three second-place finishes, and four third-place efforts.

– The dominant stallion in The Kingston is Lion Tamer, who has two runners in this three-year-old contest. Lion Tamer has produced Ability (Lion Tamer – Disability Charm), and Anonymous (Lion Tamer out of Eighteen Karat).

– The trainers with the most starters are Anthony Nunes, Carl Anderson, and Gary Subratie. Nunes saddles Anonymous and Modern Miracle, while Subratie has Kai On The Go and Sensational Move. Anderson is the trainer of Burning Valor and Secret Admiral.

– Interestingly, former three-time champion jockey Anthony Thomas was not able to get a ride in The Kingston.
