A first winner in 2022, for trainer Delroy Wisdom, while jockey Nicholas Hibbert was aboard his sixth from 75 rides.
RACE TWO – Durocell was fully energized in this two-year-old six-furlong call. The dominating victory by the Patrick Fong trainee was done in the longest event thus far in the juvenile season. Good to see long-standing trainer Fong reaping success at this level. The pilot was Dick Cardenas.
RACE THREE – It was win number three for the lover of two turns Khai Alexis conditioned by Ryan with guidance provided by Paul Francis. ‘Country’ Francis, is not regarded among our prime reinsman, yet, he always finds a way of getting the winners.
RACE FOUR – The fairy tale re-entry into racing after an absence of over two years by Last Lick continued with another victory at five furlongs straight. Last Lick trained by Gordon Lewis with Chalrick Budhai riding again, won by all of 14 lengths. When he made his return seven days prior, at five furlongs straight, Last Lick was listed as the winner by a distance.
RACE FIVE – After 26 attempts, the connections of Magic Bullet finally tasted success. This a triumph for trainer Gary Griffiths, who is enjoying a productive year thus far, registering win number 14.
