KINGSTON, Jamaica – The progress of imported three-year-old colt Sparkle Diamond turned up several notches a short while ago when the Ralph Porter trainee blazed five furlongs round in a fast 58.3 seconds.
Sparkle Diamond ridden by customary rider Shane Ellis shot to lead in the Restricted Stakes event and was never in danger of losing as he pulled further and further away winning by a widening 6 ½ lengths.
Second went to Lady Blue (Omar Walker – 5-2) with third going to Prince Charles (Anthony Charles – 9-2).
